The basin in which the city of Rieti lies, surrounded by the crown of mountains identifying the so-called "Valle Reatina", a crucial theater of the Franciscan preaching, has an extraordinarily intact agricultural landscape: an example, like few others, of a territory that shows the imprint of ancient civilizations that have come to be clearly recognizable up to the present day.
